Surrey 2030 Festival Charity Boxing Night Raises Record-Breaking £40,000
The Surrey 2030 Festival Charity Boxing Night proved to be an unforgettable evening, as Surrey Freemasons came together at the Mandolay Hotel in Guildford for a spectacular black-tie event in support of the Surrey 2030 Festival.
Completely sold out in record time, the event welcomed 255 guests and delivered an electric atmosphere from start to finish.
The evening showcased not only the incredible generosity of those attending, but also the determination and commitment of every participant who stepped into the ring.
What made the evening particularly special was that every boxer taking part was a Surrey Freemason, many of whom had never boxed competitively before.
After weeks of dedicated training and preparation, all competitors demonstrated tremendous courage, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the evening.
The event raised an incredible £40,000 for the Surrey 2030 Festival — the largest amount ever raised by Surrey Freemasons at a single event in one night.
A huge amount of credit must go to the organisers, John Mitchell and Nick Dyer, whose hard work, planning and commitment helped make the evening such an outstanding success.
The night featured a full card of competitive and entertaining bouts:
- William Randall vs Lewis Richardson
- Ben Dickson vs Macauley Pond
- Colin Campbell vs Gareth Renaud
- James Ledda vs John Price
- Dan Fisher vs Lorenzo Sammut
- Robert Fields vs Anton Osborne
- Joshua Dickson vs Dean Petre
- Ben Fisher vs Andy Stainfield
- Thomas Roberts vs Lewis Richardson
- Sam Elliott vs Miles Santini (Final Bout)
🏆 The Best Boxer of the Night award was presented to Ben Dickson, whose contest was unfortunately stopped following a shoulder dislocation, a reflection of the tremendous effort and determination displayed throughout the evening.
The Surrey 2030 Festival would like to thank everyone who took part, attended, donated, sponsored or supported the event in any way. The success of the evening once again demonstrated the incredible spirit of Surrey Freemasonry and the collective commitment to supporting charitable causes across the Province.
